LIMITED WARRANTY FOR THE MOBILEPILOT SYSTEM

This Limited Warranty grants specific legal rights to the user, which may vary by state, country, or province. The manufacturer, hereinafter SEAREBBEL, does not exclude, limit, or suspend any other rights the user may have under applicable law. For a complete understanding of your rights, it is recommended to consult the regulations in your place of residence.

Coverage

This device is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”). During this period, SEAREBBEL, at its sole discretion, will repair or replace any defective components under normal use conditions. Repairs or replacements will be carried out free of charge in terms of parts and labor; however, the customer will bear all shipping, handling, and transport insurance costs to and from authorized service centers.

This Limited Warranty DOES NOT cover:

  • Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, and surface wear

  • Consumable parts (such as batteries), except in the case of manufacturing defects

  • Damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, submersion, flooding, fire, or other external causes

  • Damage caused by unauthorized service providers

  • Devices modified or altered without prior written consent from SEAREBBEL

  • Damage caused by the use of unauthorized cables or connectors

  • Damage resulting from incorrect installation or use contrary to the user manual

  • Damage from use under expressly discouraged conditions, such as adverse weather or high-risk situations

Usage Limitation and Disclaimer

MobilePilot is a navigation assistance system, not an autonomous control system or precision navigation tool. It must not be used for applications requiring exact heading, location, or topographic measurements.

The ultimate responsibility for navigation, active watchkeeping, and manual control rests with the person in charge of the vessel.
SEAREBBEL makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of cartographic data or the automated navigation behavior of the system.

SEAREBBEL assumes no liability for:

  • Direct or indirect damage resulting from use, misuse, or inability to use the device

  • Partial or total loss of insurance coverage due to installation or use of the MobilePilot without prior notification to the insurer

  • Failure by the user to comply with legal obligations, such as conducting technical inspections or notifying the Maritime Authority of relevant modifications

Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the warranties and remedies set forth in this document are exclusive and replace any other warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

If implied warranties cannot be excluded, their duration shall be limited to the duration of this Limited Warranty.

In no event shall SEAREBBEL, its officers, employees, or representatives be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of use or data. The maximum liability shall, in any case, be the lesser of the price paid for the device or €100.

Warranty Service and Claims

Claims must be submitted within 30 calendar days of detecting the defect. SEAREBBEL may:

  1. Repair the device using new or refurbished parts

  2. Replace it with an equivalent or refurbished model

  3. Refund the purchase price

The repaired or replaced device will be covered by a warranty of six (6) months or the remaining original warranty period—whichever is longer.

If the issue persists, please contact technical support.

If repairs are requested outside the country of purchase, SEAREBBEL does not guarantee the availability of compatible parts. At its discretion, it may offer an equivalent model or require the device to be shipped to an authorized center.

Important Notes

  • Any use, installation, or maintenance not strictly following the user manual may void this warranty.

  • All costs related to import/export laws, duties, VAT, transport, and other applicable taxes shall be borne by the customer.
